As I mentioned in our family portrait session post, Nic's side of the family gets together for an entire week in early December each year for what we like to call Thanksmas. Because everyone is married and settling down, and crazy work schedules, we have found that the first full week of December is the week to meet for us!! Each year we try and mix it up on where we are going and what we are doing. Our first Thanksmas was celebrated in Arkansas at a cabin in the woods. And when I say in the woods, I mean in the woods. The second year we used our wedding as a make shift Thanksmas because everyone had to travel to us to see us get married. Last year we celebrated in Bluffton where Nic's parents live (Just off of Hilton Head Isalnd, how epic is that!?). I was very pregnant and very swollen haha. But this year was my favorite by far. WE spent the week in an amazing cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Boone, North Carolina. It was such a relaxing week, complete with a hot tub with a mountain view. It was a great time with family and celebrating the holidays!! We had a great Thanksgiving and an even better Christmas morning where our little man was so spoiled by all the presents and all the love that he was shown. We truly enjoyed every minute of it and we are so looking forward to next year! Here are a few of our favorite photos from the trip.
