We have so many big things going on in our lives right now. Malachi being the biggest of course. He is a constant flow of change. No two days are ever the same. He is growing so fast and is quickly moving from our baby to our little boy. He is so much fun and the bigger he gets the more we realize just how beautiful a gift he really is. Our days are spent surrounded by Little People and Mickey Mouse and a mountain of blocks. All while wearing clothes covered in masked bananas and cereal bars and whatever mystery substance covering the diamonds in my wedding rings. We laugh and we giggle and we take pictures. Its a beautiful life.
Aside from Malachi, we are in the process of making some big changes within Destiny Morris Photography and are moving towards some pretty magical stuff for past clients and all of the ones that will fill our future. We work so hard to give all of our clients an affordable, professional experience when they get to work with us so we have been praying and preparing and we have some amazing stuff planned for the next few months. We are in the process of updating our logo with the amazing Christen from Allocco Design and Crafts!! Nic and I went to college with Christen and we love her so dearly. She is fabulous and we cannot wait to show off what she has been working on for us!! We will also have some big changes coming to the website at the end of the year. New session options and a few other big things. Stay tuned for that. Also. This is Christen and I in a tree. So. There's that.
But aside from all of the exciting things happening around here, the biggest thing that our little family has been working on is enjoying the little moments as they happen. With life being so crazy busy and having so much going on, it sometimes seems like our life can become a little bit of a routine and we forget to enjoy the little things. Those tiny moments that make this a story not just a life. It is so important to remember that life isnt always about getting work done, or perfection. Its about writing a story worth reading and enjoying every beautiful little moment as it happens.
So yesterday when Nic had Malachi outside playing on the deck and it started raining an intense sideways kind of rain, instead of running inside, we decided to play for a little while. Let Malachi experience rain for the first time. His little face and that little giggle running through the drops like each one was magic happening right in front of him. That moment is a chapter worth reading in our story. One that I will never forget.
Stay tuned for Malachi's 15 month "Oh, Malachi" post later this week and look for a beautiful in home newborn session early next week!
